Riverview Inn & Suites, An Ascend Collection Hotel - Rockford

Amazing hotel with its free Wi-Fi, indoor pool, and 24-hour reception. On my first visit, the staff helped me find great exchange rates nearby. I highly recommend staying for a cozy break. I'm coming back for Christmas!

The staff was very accommodating & went out of their way to meet our special needs. My daughter was going threw chemo treatments & couldn't be around a lot of people because her immune system is compromised. Kasi and nicole went out of their way to make her comfortable. Thank u again u made it enjoyable for us.

Advertising should make clear the loft overlooking the river is not available in the rooms.

There was a local patron in the bar that was very rude and crude. Would have been nice if that person were removed from the facility, but staff was flexible and relocated us to another part of the restuarant.

It has character and it was on the water. The staff was friendly and responsive. Lots of beautiful wood, murals, etc. to explore. The rooms were spacious and the river view was terrific.

You can tell that it has suffered from economic setbacks, so it appeared worn and it is next to a strip mall that has seen better days.

excellent access to parks and local attractions for city strolls

I had a great stay recently and enjoyed the amazing riverside view from my room and the convenience of exploring Anderson Japanese Gardens, just under 3 km away, perfect for leisurely walks and relaxation in nature.

My stay was very brief but for the most part I really enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was great and the breakfast was a nice selection for a small hotel. I wish I had more time to spend.

I didn't like that they don't state in advance that there is a $50 room deposit on check-in. If you use cash deposit it's $200. The bus to/from O'Hare isn't a part of the hotel's free shuttle service so you have to pay to get from the airport to Rockford (approximately $20 if you use the Van Galder Bus). The Van Galder bus was excellent and it's a great value for the price to get from the airport. The hotel will come and pick you up from the bus terminal in town if you arrange a day in advance to be picked up. This can be a little difficult to arrange a shuttle a day in advance when you have an uncertain travel schedule or if your plane is delayed for any reason. If you have to take a taxi it's another $20-$24 to get from the bus station in Rockford to the hotel.

The hotel was excessive for what I needed. Only booked it because my decision to stay in Rockford was last minute and I was unsure if I could find a room for a lesser price.

Very large, clean rooms at a good price. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast.

The standard double room was very outdated, but clean. Not a very good bar staff at night.

Location: the hotel was near the common areas, a bridge and the airport. The place had a family atmosphere. Got spotless and huge room with wonderful European antiques & replicas, fireplaces and the sofa bed - always come in handy.

The staff were great, just like the excellent accommodations.

My kids wished the breakfast hours were more flexible for families.

I loved everything about the hotel except , i paid for a loft suite and they put me in a regular room, and said there was nothing they could do about it because i booked the room online???
